Arizona State University (ASU)
Arizona State University was ranked as 79th on the list of the best universities in the world by ARWU in 2012 and it is also one of the most rapidly improving US universities both in academic quality and its facilities. This rapid improvement is true also for its Economics Department which was ranked by the U.S. News & World Report 39th among all U.S. university economics departments in 2012. And it is especially true for its environmental economics program. Both the School of Agribusiness and Resource Management and the Economics Department of ASU will be involved in ECOCEP, with the Center for Environmental Economics and Sustainable Policy at the School of Business serving as the main ECOCEP contact point.
Thanks to internationally wide-known senior faculty members like Michael Hanemann or Kerry Smith, who participate in many international grants and projects and serve as lead authors on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, environmental economics at ASU is well grounded in international cooperation.
