University of Queensland (UQ)

University of Queensland is a research-intensive institution in the top 1% of universities world-wide. It belongs into the elite Group of Eight – a coalition of leading Australian research intensive universities. Climate change and energy economics research at the UQ is concentrated in its School of Economics. While this School is an Australian leader in environmental economics, it also has a strongest economic theory group in Australia and a distinguished program in econometrics. The ECOCEP researchers work in several groups in the School of Economics – the Risk and Sustainable Management Group, the Center on Efficiency and Productivity Analysis and in particular in the Energy Economics and Management Group.

Globally leading climate change researchers like John Quiggin help the School of Economics to engage in successful international cooperation both in the terms of joint publications and joint grant research.
